The Harder Kulm funicular – over 100 years old – takes you 1,322 meters above sea level at an astonishing 64% incline in under 10 minutes! It’s a steep, thrilling ride, but be prepared – it’s a popular attraction so the cable car can get crowded. Don’t worry though; the journey is short and totally worth it!

Once at the top you can grab lunch at the Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant, with traditional Swiss dishes and stunning views. Alternatively, step onto the glass-bottomed viewing platform and enjoy the panoramic views of Interlaken, Lake Thun, Lake Brienz and the Swiss Alps. If you’re not into paragliding but still want to see Interlaken from above, Harder Kulm is the perfect spot to admire the town!

Visitor Tip: If possible visit early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds.
